About the Business
Our original location was in what is now Weatherspoons! We then moved via 27 West Street to our present location at 5 West Street in 1996. In 2013 we were delighted to be able to enlarge our premises by expanding into number 7 West Street. Today optometry is not merely simply supplying spectacles and contact lenses; there are many different facets involved including Diabetic screening, glaucoma co-management, cataract referral, orthoptics and children's eye care, to name but a few. A thorough eye examination can also reveal a great deal about your general health- high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and other more serious conditions.
We recommend you have you eyes tested at least every 2 years, unless otherwise advised. On our website we have tried to cover most areas of optometry and outlined how we as optometrists can provide a complete eye care package for our patients. However, if there are any aspects of optometry we have not covered please do not hesitate to get in touch!
