Chiropractic is a primary health care profession that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to problems with the joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves of the body particularly those of the spine.
In addition to standard orthopaedic and neurological tests, chiropractors are trained to identify areas of the spine which are not moving correctly. These areas can cause pain, inflammation and muscle spasm and Chiropractors use mobilisation and manipulation techniques to restore normal movement and function to the restricted joints.
