About the Business
Our role as qualified professional Optometrists is first and foremost to ensure that your eyes are healthy. We will use sophisticated instrumentation to examine your eyes and give you peace of mind that all is well. We will carefully examine your eyes on an instrument called a slit lamp, and, when appropriate, perform visual field screening and eye pressure measurement to screen for glaucoma.
During the examination, which takes approximately 30 minutes, your medical and family eye history is taken into account. Whenever we check your eyes we are also looking for a number of eye conditions, some of which may not be apparent to you. These could be slowly developing and may not produce symptoms, but our tests will discover any problems and where necessary enable prompt referral to an Ophthalmologist so that treatment can be undertaken at an early stage.
