Every eye test is different and tailored to the needs of each patient, but here are the most common checks that we do to help you understand what is to come when you have your appointment. Our optometrist will try to make your eye test as easy as possible for you by explaining each part of the test as it is done. Your optometrist will ask you about your eyes, your vision and your glasses, as well as any problems that you may feel you are having.
You will also be asked about your general health, any medications that you take and any history about both your eyes and any relevant problems that your closest relatives may have. The optometrist will also ask about your hobbies and lifestyle so that we can help you with the things that are most important to you. Using the ophthalmoscope our optometrist can look at both the outside of your eyes and the structures inside the eye.
