Matthew feels he has found his true calling. He became a chiropractor after having a shoulder injury and saw how effective treatment was for him. He also enjoys the fact that he never stops learning. Each year new research is published and into the memory banks it goes, ready for practice. You could call him a chiropractic nerd but this is why he excels at what he does.
In his spare time, he likes bouldering, exercising regularly, jogging, playing the guitar and producing chiropractic videos and content to spread the word.
Matthew does at least 3-weekend courses in further education each year travelling far and wide to stay up to date and learn new ways of looking after people. He is also registered with the General Chiropractic Council.

Treatment For Back Pain
Sometimes we get aches, sometimes we get pains and sometimes it can affect our whole being. It can be hard to live the life we want when pain is getting us down or stopping us do the things that we love.

You may be surprised what can cause low back pain, such as the age of a mattress, how you sit, the food you eat, the way you walk, the sport you do, even the way you think about your own pain. Research is changing and this research is showing we need to image (X-ray, MRI) less and increase your movement. Also, we thought that core strength matters when it comes to low back pain but research shows us that any sort of movement and activity is what we need.
Acupuncture Treatment
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years. Traditionally it originated in China and was and is used for many ailments. We use it for pain relief. It is a quick way to reduce muscle tension and pain.
It works by sending pain-relieving chemicals to the site of the needle. It is done very gently, nonpainful and has many amazing effects. We cannot advertise this as research does not back up any claims made by acupuncture. It does for pain relief which is why it's an important part of my treatment.
