About the Business

Since its formation in 1966, the Chiropractic Patients' Association (CPA) has played a significant role in the development of the profession in the UK. The passing of the Chiropractors Act in 1994 and the development and formalisation of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) in 1999 were major milestones along the way to its major objective - recognition of the value of chiropractic treatment within the medical profession and its wider availability within the National Health Service (NHS). The CPA is the only body representing patient interests to the GCC.
